What You’ll Do:
- Partner with the Lead Engineer and Architects to develop cloud-oriented architectures that provide new cybersecurity capabilities to a U.S. Government customer.
- Work with Agile Scrum teams in the system design and implementation of advanced, cloud-oriented cybersecurity capabilities.
- Work closely with stakeholders, business teams, development teams, and other IT professionals to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Implement and maintain network architecture within GCP, including Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), load balancers, VPNs, and connectivity with on-premises networks.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Cloud Build, GitLab CI, or Jenkins to facilitate efficient software deployment.
- Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards by configuring Identity and Access Management (IAM) roles, service accounts, and access policies.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Develop and implement strategies for optimizing resource utilization and cost management through effective scaling, right-sizing, and budget monitoring.
- Demonstrate a high degree of adaptability and willingness to take on varied responsibilities, often beyond the initial scope of the role, to meet evolving business needs and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field (Preferred)
- Certifications: Google Cloud Professional Certifications, Hashicorp Terraform Certifications
- Experience and familiarity with designing, implementing, and maintaining a Google Cloud environment.
- Experience with AI/ML, IoT, advanced analytics, open source, enterprise collaboration, microservices, and serverless solutions.
- Familiarity with the following technologies in a cloud environment: Jenkins, Orca, Apigee, GCP SCC, Splunk, DNS, NAT, git.
- Experience working in DevOps and/or DevSecOps environments.
What You Can Expect:
- $150,000 – $175,000
- Remote (must work out of Reston office 1-2 times a month)
