Merriam-Webster Dictionary states a sandwich is two or more slices of bread or roll having a filling in between, therefore...

It's a Sandwich

Did you know?

The sandwich is named after its supposed inventor, John Montagu, 4th Earl of Sandwich. The Wall Street Journal has described it as Britain's "biggest contribution to gastronomy." The name may have taken its current form from John Montagu, however the sandwich's origin dates back to around 200 BC in China. Today's version of the staple is called the Rau Jia Mo, which loosely translates to "Meat Between Bread."
